Part-Time Research Technician in Electrophysiology

|The JD Laboratory in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the City College of New York (jd-lab.org) is seeking applicants for a Part-Time Research Technician specializing in rodent electrophysiology. The mission of the lab is to develop cutting-edge techniques for non-invasively stimulating the brain.
We are embarking on a project that uses low-intensity ultrasonic waves to modulate oscillations in the rodent brain. The project is funded by the National Institutes of Health under the BRAIN Initiative, and is a collaboration between the City College of New York (PI and direct supervisor: Jacek Dmochowski) and Columbia University (Elisa Konofagou). To support the project, we are seeking an experienced, Part-Time (~40% but flexible) Technician, who will work closely with the Principal Investigator to provide electrophysiology support in a state-of-the-art research environment. In addition to lending his/her expertise in electrophysiology, the successful candidate will acquire expertise in the administration of ultrasonic stimulation, an emerging technique in neuromodulation.

Priority will be given to applicants that have >3 years of laboratory experience in an academic or industrial setting.
